Well, i'm Jack Lomas and i'm an undergraduate Geology student at the University of Derby. Geology? Isn't that just looking at rocks? Well I guess you could put it that way but that would be like calling a doctor somebody who just looks at peoples insides. Geology is the study of the earth and it's processes, what makes it tick and what's been and gone. As geologists we investigate the past by using the evidence exposed to us at the surface of the earth to explain questions like the history of life and the earth's landscape. Ok enough boring stuff lets talk about the blog.
Why are you writing this blog? I don't really know why i'm writing a blog if i'm completely honest, but it looks like it might be a good bit of fun. Let's talk a bit more about me something i rarely do so do excuse the briefness of my intro :). As I mentioned earlier i'm an undergraduate student, i'm 18 years old and i'm loving my uni experience so far. I keep myself quite active the in Tech world and as nobody wants to read me go on about geology so I figured that it might be a better thing to blog about. I play multiple online games and keep up with technological advancements across the world. Hopefully I can spread some of this knowledge on the internet for you folks to read :)
